Trouble shooting

Symptom

Batteries uncharged

Check the position of the
batteries
Recharge the batteries

Handset turned OFF

Turn ON the handset

No tone

Telephone cord badly

cord connection

The line is occupied
by another handset

Go to ‘Control panel’, and select
’Audio and sound devices’ ->
select ‘Speech’ -> make sure both
playback and voice recording are
set to ‘C-media USB headset’

The Skype application doesn’t use
the telephone as audio device

Open Skype and select ‘Tools’
-> ‘Options’. At the ‘Privacy’
settings, select ‘manage other
programs access skype’ and
make sure only Butler 4812 is
shown in the list
