Troubleshooting

Problem

Suggeston

The system does

not receive caller ID

or the system does

not display caller ID

during call waiting.

• Make sure you subscrbe to caller ID wth call watng feature servces provded by the local

telephone company.

• The caller may not be callng from an area whch supports caller ID.
• Both you and the caller’s telephone companes must use equpment whch are compatble wth

caller ID servce.

• If you subscribe to DSL service, install a DSL filter to the telephone line between the telephone

base and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL service provider for filter information.

Caller ID entries

do not match the

numbers I need to

dial.

Although the call log entres you receve are 10 dgts (the area code plus the seven-dgt

number), n some areas, you may need to dal only the seven dgts, or a 1 plus the seven

dgts, or a 1 plus the area code plus the seven dgts. You can change the number of dgts

that you dal or store from the call log.

repeatedly to dsplay these dalng optons for local and

long dstance numbers before dalng or savng the telephone number.

Common cure

for electronic

equipment.

• If the telephone s not respondng normally, try puttng the handset n the telephone base or the

charger. If t does not seem to respond, try the followng (n the order lsted):

• Dsconnect the power to the telephone base.
• Dsconnect the battery on the handset and the spare battery n the telephone base.
• Wat a few mnutes before connectng power to the telephone base.
• Re-nstall the battery and place the handset nto the telephone base or charger.
• Wat for the handset to synchronze ts connecton wth the telephone base. Allow up to one

mnute for ths to take place.
