If the handset

leakage.

Battery installation and charging

Install the battery as shown below. After nstallng the battery, you mght be able

to make and receve short calls. For best performance, charge the handset for at

least 16 hours before use. When the battery power s low, the handset wll beep,

LOW BATTERY wll be dsplayed and will flash on the handset screen. Place

the handset n the telephone base or charger to charge the battery when not n

use. See the table on page 52 for battery operatng tmes.
If the battery s depleted, t may take approxmately four mnutes to charge the

handset before t can resume screen dsplay. The screen wll contnue to dsplay

LOW BATTERY untl the battery has been charged for approxmately one hour.
