What is Magnetic Declination?

The Magnetic North Pole is slightly different from the True North Pole.

This watch points to the Magnetic North Pole.

• The angular difference between the Magnetic North Pole and the True

North Pole is called Magnetic Declination. The amount (degrees and
minutes) and direction (easterly and westerly) depends on where you
are in the world.
