Changing the password
The same password is used for both Parental Control
(page 36) and Disc Lock (page 30). Enter your six-
digit password to play a prohibited disc when
prompted on the screen. The default password is ‘000
000’.
[PREFERENCE PAGE] - [PASSWORD] -
[CHANGE]
1 Use the numeric keypad (0-9) to enter your old six-
digit password.
• When doing this for the first time, enter ‘000 000’.
• If you forget your old six-digit password, enter ‘000
000’.
2 Enter the new six-digit password.
3 Enter the new six-digit password again to confirm the
password.

The new six-digit password is now valid.
4 Press ENTER (OK) to confirm your new password.
Playing back DivX files with subtitles
The font sets listed below are available for DivX
external subtitle files. You can see the proper font set
on-screen by setting the following options.
[PREFERENCE PAGE] - [DIVX SUBTITLE]
STANDARD
Supports the following languages:
Albanian, Breton, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English,
Faroese, Finnish, French, Gaelic, German, Icelandic,
Irish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and
Swedish.
CYRILLIC
Supports the following languages:
Bulgarian, Belorussian, English, Macedonian,
Moldavian, Russian, Serbian and Ukrainian.
Some external subtitle files may not be displayed correctly
or at all.
Restoring to the factory defaults
Setting the DEFAULT function resets all options and
your personal settings to the initial factory settings,
except your password for Parental Control (page 36)
and Disc Lock (page 30).
[PREFERENCE PAGE] - [DEFAULT] - [RESET]
• Press ENTER (OK) to reset the parameters to the
initial factory settings.
