Playing a Super Audio CD

Using the TV screen, selected area and
tracks of the Super Audio CD can be
played back.

Turn on the TV and switch the input
source to this unit.
Insert the disc. (The track display
screen of the Multi-channel appears.)

Press j to display the area selection
screen.

Stereo

Multi-channel

CD-DA

Select Multi-channel, Stereo or CD-DA
area using
h and g and press w.
E.g.
When the disc contains Multi-channel,
Stereo and CD-DA areas.

• Area can be selected only when the Super Audio

CD is stopped.

• When “Multi-channel” or “Stereo” is selected,

output is only from the speakers. (Only the sound
from the front channel is output from the
headphones.)

Select a track using h and g, and press
ENTER to start playback.

Notes

You can play MP3 music that was recorded onto a CD-R
or CD-RW by a computer.

If you use the CinemaStation to playback MP3 discs recorded on
a computer, each folder on the disc is designated an “Album”,
and each file in each folder a “Track”.

• CinemaStation is compatible with a bit rate range of 32, 64, 96, 128,

192 or 256 kbps. CinemaStation is also compatible with variable bit
rate encoded MP3 files.

• CinemaStation is compatible with a sampling frequency of 32, 44.1 or

48 kHz.

Repeat Play
You can use Track Repeat and Album Repeat to repeat your
favorite track and disc. See page 34, “Repeating a Disc or
Track (Repeat Play)”.

Program Play
You can playback your favorite tracks in the order you want. See
page 31, “Customizing Playback Order (Program Play)”.

Playback status on the TV screen
You can check the playback status (e.g. disc type) along with the
total and elapsed playing time of the current track on the TV
screen.

• Depending on the way you assign folder or file names when you record the MP3 disc, the CinemaStation may play tracks in a

different order from the order they were recorded in.

• Depending on recording conditions, some discs cannot be played back.
