G PHANTOM +48 V Switch

Toggles phantom power on or off to a set of eight adjacent
channels. The MG32/14FX has three of these switches: for
CHs 1 to 8, for CHs 9 to 16, and for CHs 17 to 24. The
MG24/14FX has two: for CHs 1 to 8 and for CHs 9 to16. If
using condenser microphones, set the switch on (

) for all

channels to which these microphones are connected.

If this switch is on (

), the mixer supplies DC

+48 V power to pins 2 and 3 of all XLR-type jacks in
the corresponding channels.

• Be sure to leave these switches off (

) if you do

not need phantom power. Humming or damage
may result if you connect to an unbalanced device
or to an ungrounded transformer while this switch
is on (

). But note that the switch may be left on

without problem when connecting to balanced
dynamic microphones.

• To avoid damage to speakers, be sure to turn off

amplifiers (or powered speakers) before turning
these switches on or off.
