source to be recorded, then press SET.

level to VOL MIN, then press SET.

Press POWER to turn off the unit .
The unit is in standby mode for timer recording.

To cancel timer recording

Press TIMER so that “TIMER” disappears from the
display.

Note

• When you record a radio program on an MD, analog sound

is recorded. In this case, set the input mode of the MDX-M5
to the analog input mode.

Checking timer setting

When the timer settings are complete, you can check
them.

Press TIMER so that “TIMER” appears in the
display.

The timer settings appear in the display in the
following order:

Time to turn on

Time to turn off

Selected timer mode

Source to play
(PLAY or AI)

Source to be recorded
(REC)

or

Source to record
(REC)

Volume level
(PLAY or REC)

or

TIMER

REC

To change the timer setting

Press TIMER more than 2 seconds, and reset the timer
(see page 18 and 19).
