3. Speak the contact name.
notE: You may need to “train”
your mobile phone to recognize
your voice commands. Refer to your
phone’s documentation.
Using SMS/Text
Messaging
If your phone supports SMS/text
messaging using Bluetooth technology,
you can send and receive text messages
on the nüvi.
Getting a Text Message
When you get a text message, the
Incoming Text window opens. Touch
listen to play the text message, review
to open your inbox, or ignore to close
the window.
Sending a Text Message
1. On the Menu page, touch .
2. Touch
Text Message .
3. Touch Compose .
4. Select an option to select the text
message recipient.
5. Enter the message, and touch Done .
notE: Messages sent from your
nüvi do not appear in your phone’s
outbox.
Viewing Your Messages
1. On the Menu page, touch .
2. Touch
Text Message .
3. Touch Inbox , Outbox , or Drafts .
4. Touch a message.
5. Select an option:
Touch to listen to the
message.
Touch
Forward to send this
message to another recipient or
Reply to reply to this contact.
