2- Applications, Engineering Data

The following chart shows all available Spicer Steer Axles with a brief Engineering

description. Once you click on a model, you will be taken to an Engineering Data

Information Sheet that will have details on the following: Beam Drop, Turn Angle,

Kingpin, Wheel bearing adjustment, Weight, Ground clearance, Spring mounting

centers, camber and kingpin angles, nominal ratings, maximum track, steering

knuckles, axle center, kingpin intersection, overall width, bearing shoulder to bearing

shoulder, wheel bearings, model identification, steering knuckle options, available steer

arms, available tie rod arms, available spring pad drilling, axle rating specifications –

GAWR versus track @ max tire SLR and nominal SMC.

Applications outside the specified vocations and duty cycles shown in section 4, as well

as the ratings (ie: GAWR, track and wheelbase) shown below, must be reviewed on an

individual basis by the Spicer Heavy Vehicle Technology and Systems Operations

Application Engineering Department (an example of an Engineering data sheet can be

found on pg-[16] ).
