INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

*** READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION***

To install your WARRIOR SR 180 SYSTEM, be sure your vehicle is on a level surface before removal

of front wheels and tires. You will need jack stands or a way to support your axle and your chassis before you
begin installing your new kit. If you have after market springs you must verify your vehicle wheel base. The
original location of your housing is very important, measure your wheel base before beginning any work.
Remember, your new kit was designed to fit with all factory springs. After market springs may alter the wheel
base and your new kit may have to be adjusted accordingly. Please read the instructions completely and
understand all the provisions before you begin. If you have any questions about your installation, call our
factory direct technical department and ask for assistance at 1-888-220-6861. Keep in mind these are basic
instructions and cannot take into consideration unique situations you may encounter. Access to a good shop
manual may help with parts not directly related to the kit.

1)

Make all necessary measurements and make notes before jacking up the vehicle.

2)

Jack up front of vehicle, placing jack stands behind the rear of the front leaf springs. Be sure

vehicle is level and secure with tires about 3” off the ground. Shake vehicle to ensure it is stable.
3)

Remove steering stabilizer and disconnect the shocks. You will later need to replace the steering
stabilizer with an after market unit between the axle and the tie rod.

4)

Remove the front bumper and the front drive shaft.

5)

Disconnect the leaf springs, both ends, and shackles from the frame. Lower the axle housing with the
leaf spring. Be careful not to over extend the brake line hose.

6)

Cut spring and shackle hangers, and bumper brackets, off the frame. Upon reinstallation, the

holes in the bumper brackets must be elongated 3/16”, where they bolt to the bumper on the
outside of the frame, to compensate for thickness of the spring hanger.

Note: The hangers and bumper brackets are riveted and welded. You will need to remove rivet heads and
welds with a small grinder, drill or cutting torch. It may be necessary to use a hammer to knock the old hangers
from the frame.

7)

Install the front spring hanger which is mounted flush with the frame. (illus.) Clamp in place

and drill through the Reverse Shackle Hanger, into rivet holes in the frame, and bolt in place.
