Modbus interface can be carried out on
VEGASCAN 850. Provide a connection be-
tween PC with VVO and VEGASCAN 850 with
the RS 232 interface cable. The following
illustration is displayed on the PC after
switching on VEGASCAN 850 and starting
VVO.

• Click to "

Configuration“, then to "Measuring

system“, in the next window "Configuration
measuring system“ click to "

Communica-

tion.

The window "

Configuration Modbus“ opens.

Here, you select the protocol mode (Mod-

rate (300 … 38400), you must make sure that
the rate is set to the same value as the other
BUS participants. For the BUS address,
settings 1 to 246 are permitted. Address
adjustments outside this range are converted
as follows:
Addr. 0 becomes addr. 245
Addr. > 247 becomes addr. 245
Addr. 255 becomes addr. 246.

• After the configuration settings, click to

"

Save“, then to "Quit“. In the window "Con-

figuration measuring system“ click again to
"

Quit“.

ment has to be terminated. Set the slide
switch (beside the field bus terminal) to posi-
tion "on“.

After setting up the Modbus interface, pro-
vide the connection with the Modbus. In case
of correct communication, the green LED
