5 Setup
5.1 S eparate ordering of sensor and fitting
Setup of VEGAPULS 66 is carried out according to the operating
instructions manual of the sensor.
When the sensor and the fitting are ordered separately, the lower side
of the sensor process fitting is the reference plane for the measure-
ment. The height of the fitting up to the Clamp connecting point thus
has to be added to the measuring distance during adjustment. You can
find this dimension in chapter "Dimensions".

5.2 C ommon order of sensor and fitting
Setup of VEGAPULS 66 is carried out according to the operating
instructions manual of the sensor.
When the sensor and the fitting are ordered together, reference plane
is shifted away from the sensor process fitting at the factory. It is then
located on the upper edge of the clamping sleeve. This ensures that
the sensor measurement originates from the same point as the manual
measurement.
For sensor adjustment, the height of the fitting up to the clamping
sleeve must be added to the measuring distance. You can find this
dimension in chapter "Dimensions".
