sTEp 7:

It is recommended to lubricate the polyurethane bushings with high grade lithium grease and

place the coupler head assembly on them. Be sure that the coupler head assembly latches

completely when placed on the pivot bushings. The coupler head latching handles should be

horizontal when the coupler head is in the latched postion. Insert the safety chain pins and

lock into place.

note:

When making the wiring connection to your trailer, be sure that a ground wire from

your vehicle to the trailer is used. The pivot head plate of the hitch rides on neoprene

bushings and a proper ground cannot be obtained through the hitch connection.

sTEp 8:

Pull the latch handle to the open position. Back the truck up to the trailer, centering the pin

in the hitch, until the hitch pin has engaged the jaws. Make sure the latch pin handle has

completely closed and insert the safety pin through the handle and base plate. Hook up the

lighting and brake connections.

note:

Grease between the jaws and cam with lithium grease once a year.

sTEp: 6

Tighten the center draw-down

bolt to 40 ft. lbs. torque. This

will draw the base down against

the bed.
