ance. Please read the use instructions
carefully before usage.
The Braun smoothliner is designed to
straighten and protect your hair.
It comes with NanoGlide Ceramic Tech-
nology for advanced hair protection and
smoothest glide.
Since the NanoGlide Ceramic plates
are 3 times smoother than conventional
ceramic plates, they protect your hair
from damage by providing friction-free
gliding. Your hair will look naturally
healthy and shiny.
Important
• Do not expose to temperatures of
more than 50 °C (e.g. glove compart-
ment of cars), nor direct sunlight for
long periods of time.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not allow the appliance to get wet.
• When starting the appliance please
ensure that it is held away from the
hair, face and clothing.
Do not start the appliance while it is
in the hair.
• Use Braun energy cells only. Energy
cell contains flammable isobutane
gas under pressure.
• Keep away from flames (burning
cigarettes as well).
• Avoid touching the hot parts of the
product.
• When hot, do not place on surfaces
that are not heat resistant.
• Do not take apart, puncture or incin-
erate.
• If the appliance is damaged, stop
using it immediately. For repairs refer
to authorised Braun Service Agents
only.
• Use the appliance on dry hair only.

Before use
Removing the protective cover
Press the cool touch ribs (E) to release
the protective cover (A) and remove it.
Inserting or changing the Braun
energy cell
This appliance can be used with both, a
short handle for styling on the go and a
long handle for use at home. The short
handle accommodates the small energy
cell (a), while the large energy cell (b) fits
into the long handle.
In order to insert or change the energy
cell, the energy supply must be
switched off (switch (B) on position «0»).
• Press the release button (G) to pull
off the handle (H).
• Insert a Braun energy cell into the
handle (arrows on energy cell point-
ing outwards).
• Push the handle back onto the
appliance until it snaps into place.
Only use Braun energy cells. These
are available from the shop where this
appliance was purchased, as well as
from authorised Braun Service Agents.
The energy cells can be taken out or
changed at any time, even if they are
only partly filled.
