17 The widget screen
Tap and hold the settings symbol and select Input Method Settings, or
from the Home screen tap Menu > Settings > Language & keyboard >
Penpower Input Method, to access text entry settings.
The widget screen
When you start your smartphone, or wake it from
power saving, it will display the Widget screen. This
screen protects your smartphone from accidental
access and gives you quick access to information and
simple controls with widgets. These display
information such as the time or weather, or provide
additional controls. Some have been pre-installed on
your smartphone, while others may be downloaded
from the Android Market.
The extended widget screen
The widget screen extends to either side of the initial widget screen, giving you
more room to add widgets or features. To view the extended widget screen,
slide your finger to the left or right. A total of five pages are available, two to
the left and two to the right. To change or add widgets on any of the screens
see “Personalizing the screen“ on page 20.
