The Begin and End date and times may be easily modified by clicking on the down arrow to the right of each Date/Time field. This
action will open a calendar, as illustrated in Figure 3.38, for a point-and-click selection of the date. Clicking in the time fields allows
for direct entry of the desired value for hours:minutes:seconds.tenths of seconds (Figure 3.39). This is a 24-hour time entry box, no
AM or PM indication is necessary.

Generally, the Scan Interval is the period of time between measurements during a test. The function of the Scan Interval may be
modified by selecting one of various Scan Methods, see section 3.5.2. Measurements may be taken at regular intervals provided that the
Scan Method is set to Linear and the interval is less than the time between the start and end times of the test. For example, if a test
were configured to start on January 1st at 0:0:0 and end on January 15

th

at 0:0:0 then the longest permitted interval between

measurements would be 14 days:23 hours:59 minutes: and 59.9 seconds. This interval would produce a test data file containing two
measurements, one at the start date and time and one just 0.1 seconds prior to the end date and time. The values for this parameter
may be changed using the keyboard or via the Δ∇ control to the right of each entry field. Figure 3.40 shows a 15 minute interval being
defined for test nine.
