TOASTER
Using for the first time
When the appliance is new it may give off smoke and a typical smell of new. It is therefore advisable to use it 2 or 3 times empty before
placing any food.
Warning! Beware of burns:
- Do not touch the food or the metal parts of the toaster, food holders or basket with your hands while they are very hot.
Using the holders
- Open the holder f by pressing the button h and lay it on a flat surface [Fig. A].
- Prepare your toasted sandwich on the holder [Fig. B].
- Close the holder and press the handles g together until they click into place [Fig. C].
- Place the bread holder into the cooking seat a [Fig. D].
- Insert the plug in the socket.
- Turn the timer knob b clockwise to select the required cooking level [Fig. E].
Nb: If the toasting time is set incorrectly, return the timer knob to "0" turning it counter-clockwise. Then reset the selected position
- Wait for the toaster to ring which means it has finished its cycle and remove the toasting holder.
Using the basket
Use of the basket i is particularly suitable for heating and defreezing foods that are too thick to be put into the toasting holders (bread
rolls, baguettes, pastries, teacakes, pizzas etc.).
- Remove the holders f and place the basket i with the food (generally no more than one bread roll or pastry at a time) on the upper
part of the toaster [Fig. F].
- Toast the food for 3 or 4 cycles setting it to , turn the food over and wait one minute between each cycle. When the bread is
frozen, wait for at least 3 minutes between each cycle to allow the heat to penetrate to the middle.
Warning:
- Avoid foods or fillings that melt during cooking.
- Never put hands, forks or other implements into the cooking seat, even when the appliance is switched off.
- Never insert food wrapped in aluminium foil into the bread holder.
- Always wait 1 minute between cycles when using the basket.
