Unscrew the top from the base.



Fill the base with fresh water to just below the level of the brass steam
escape valve.



Add the ground coffee of your choice to the inner filter and fill it to the top.



Place the filter in the base section and screw the top section on tightly.



Heat the appliance on a moderate heat, the water will rinse and filter
through the coffee and fill the upper part of the coffee maker.



During this (percolating) time, do not open the lid as hot coffee could bubble
out and potentially scald.



When the coffee has percolated through and the top section is full, remove it
from the heat source immediately.
