THE JUNCTION BOX

5. From the solenoid valve conversion kit install the plastic acorn/collet wiring connector
into the 3/4 inch hole you drilled in the junction box cover. See attached photos. The
BVA pump model PEW… already has this acorn/collet. Very carefully strip the black
power cord wiring cover to just past the old crimp mark with out damaging the 3 internal
wires. Thread the power cord into the junction box cover acorn/collet, with at least
¼ inch of the black power cord covering exposed inside the junction box cover. Tighten
the acorn nut and set the junction box cover aside. Thread the jumper cord from the
Dynex valve thru the existing acorn/collet located on the junction box base and gently
tighten. Connect both the green wire from the Dynex valve and the green wire from the
power cord to the ground wire Phillips screw. See attached photos.

6. Take the toggle switch and with the 2 screws removed carefully flatten - with the tip
your pliers – the 2 little upturned projections on each of the 2 wiring connecter terminals.
Attach the black wire from the Dynex valve and the black wire from the power cord to
the ON connector – marked on the side of the switch.

7. Take the black jumper wire from the 3 wire bundle marked T2 T4 T8 and connect it to
the OFF connector of the toggle switch. Place the switch back in the junction box cover
and position it so that ON is up and reassemble the switch hardware. Wrap both white
wires to the jumper wire from the T1 T3 T5 bundle and secure with a yellow wire nut and
secure with the wire cable tie 3/4 inch up from the nut. Double check and tighten all
connections and reinstall the box cover. See attached photos.

8. Now to test - MAKE SURE THE PUMP IS FULL OF OIL - Plug the power cord in
to an outlet and hook the pump up to an appropriate cylinder. When you turn the pump on
with the toggle switch - WATCH THE DIRECTION OF THE FAN ROTATION ON
THE TOP OF THE PUMP, IT SHOULD TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE.
With
the motor running press the “U” (up) button on the remote, the right LED will light and
the cylinder will extend. Press the “D” (down button) the left LED will light and cylinder
will retract, the pump is now ready for service.

9. READ THIS IMPORTANT OPERATING INFORMATION – During normal
operation depending upon line pressure PSI and the applied load you may need to
“bump” the locking valve in order to allow it to unlock. THIS IS NORMAL
OPERATION -
on the orange remote control - press the “U” button – release it and
immediately press the “D” button, this will allow the valve to unlock and the cylinder
to retract.
