6. Check whether all applications of your device can be operated with the remote
control keys. You are now ready to set another device, with the same procedure.

You can exit the Auto and Quick search modes at anytime by pressing the

In Auto search mode, the remote control searches the correct codes very
quickly and you may not have enough time to store them (step 5 of the Auto
search mode). It is recommended to use both the Auto search and the Quick
search methods by pressing on the Pause key.
When the correct code has been found, if the original remote control of the
device you want to control with the ST400 didn’t have a Power key, the device
may not turn off but play, change channels or the sound will go off.

end of the code list, and then remains on. You can browse through the tables
using the Fast Forward , Fast Rewind , and keys .
If no key is pressed for more than 15 seconds, the setup procedures stop
automatically, but the codes stored will not be lost or changed.
In Auto search mode, all the function keys except the Pause , EXIT, TV,
DVD, VCR and SAT keys can be pressed without exiting the mode.
In Quick search mode, all the function keys except the Pause , EXIT,
Fast Forward , Fast Rewind , , , TV, DVD, VCR and SAT keys
can be pressed without exiting the mode.
During the Auto search mode, press the Pause key once to enter the
Quick search mode. Press the same key once again to go back to the Auto
search mode.
In Quick search mode, the search direction can be changed by pressing: the
Fast Forward key (transmits the next 10 codes, then stops), the Fast Rewind
key (transmits the previous 10 codes, then stops), the key (transmits
the next code then stops), the key (transmits the previous code then stops).

Once you’ve programmed the ST400, please always note the 3-digit code(s)
operating your device(s). This may be useful if you need to reprogram your
remote control in the event of accidental cancellation or when you change used
batteries. When searching the code, the LED will display the code by slowly

Once you have noted the code displayed, you can use the Manual set-up
method to reprogram the desired device.

1. Press and hold the key of the device you have programmed on the remote
control for 3 seconds. The LED located on the top part of the remote control will
turn on and then turn off after 3 seconds.
2. Release the key. The LED lights up again.

The FavCH key allows you to store your favourite channels or limit the number
of channels accessible to your children (child lock function). You can store up to
15 of your favourite channels by sequences of 6 numbers.
Store your favourite channels
Example: Store channels 5, 21 and 147.
1. Press the desired device key.
2. Press and hold the FavCH key for 3 seconds. The LED will turn on and then
turn off after 3 seconds.
3. Release the FavCH key. The LED lights up again.
4. Then one key after another, press:
Storing your favourite channels and child lock function
5 FavCH -/-- 2 1 FavCH -/-- 1 4 FavCH 7
The channels will be automatically stored when you press the sixth digit or you
can also press the FavCH key to end the sequence and save your favourite
channels.
