If a device has its own transport keys settings or data (such as some satellite
receivers), the transport keys feature will not be activated.
Basic volume lock (« punch through »)
This feature allows you to use the volume keys ( , and Mute ) of your
last active TV or audio device while in VCR, DVD or SAT/CBL mode without
changing to TV or audio mode.
For example, you can watch a DVD and control the volume (a TV function)
without pressing on the TV key.
Note:
The volume lock feature is automatic. You can use the volume keys without
exiting the current mode.
If a device has its own volume keys settings or data (such as some satellite
receivers), the volume lock feature will not be activated.
Advanced volume control (volume lock)
As mentioned above, the volume lock feature is automatic, but you can choose to
control the volume of one device through the volume of another device.
Example: to control the volume of device 1 (ex. your DVD) through the volume of
device 2 (ex. your TV).
1. Press and hold the Mute key, the LED lights up.
2. Without releasing the Mute key, press the DVD key.
3. Without releasing the Mute key, press the TV key.

5. To cancel the setting and go back to the Basic volume lock, press and hold
the DVD key for 3 seconds. The LED lights up then goes off after 3 seconds.
6. Release the DVD key. The LED lights up again.

All off feature
Press the Power key twice to switch off all the devices controlled by the ST400.
Press once again to switch back on all the devices.
Note: To use this feature, make sure that:
No other remote control is being used to switch on or switch off the target
devices.
All the devices are in the line of sight.
The Auto code search and Hot brand code search are not being performed.
That 2 devices or more are not using the same code.
Note: when you are storing your favourite channels, only the EXIT, FavCH,
DQGQXPHULFNH\VFDQEHXVHG,I\RXWU\WRSUHVVDQRWKHUNH\WKH/('ZLOOÀDVK
quickly 4 times and will remain on until you press a valid key.

on. Repeat the procedure above to store new channels.
6. Press the EXIT key to exit the mode.
7. Once you have stored your favourite channels, simply press the FavCH key to
browse through the channels in the order they were stored and select one of them.
Note:

goes off. The programming is cancelled.
To delete the channels from the memory:
1. Press the desired device key (ex: TV).
2. Press and hold the FavCH key for 3 seconds. The LED will turn on and then
turn off after 3 seconds.
3. Release the FavCH key. The LED lights up again.
4. Press the device key twice (ex: TV – TV).

Child Lock
In Child Lock mode, the , and numeric keys are not active.
1. Press and hold the FavCH key for 3 seconds. The LED will turn on and then
turn off after 3 seconds.
2. Release the FavCH key. The LED lights up again.
3. Use the numeric keys to enter 9 – 9 – 9, then press the FavCH key once again.

Note: Repeat steps 1 to 3 to switch off the child lock mode.

Transport keys lock
This feature allows you to use the Play , Pause , Stop , Record ,
Previous , Next , Fast forward and Fast rewind keys (transport
keys) of your last active VCR, DVD or CD device while watching the TV or
a satellite/cable channel without changing to DVD/CD or VCR mode.
For example, you can watch the TV and use the transport keys to control your
DVD player without pressing the DVD key on the remote control.
Note:
The transport keys lock feature is automatic. You can use the transport keys
without exiting the current mode.
