The internal filter protecting the
motor from overheating has
tripped.
Reduce acceleration rates.
Reduce duty cycle (“On/Off”) of feed indexes.
Increase time permitted for motion. (Check cabling.)

Protection Fault
The internal filter protecting the
IPM at slow speed has tripped.
Reduce acceleration rates.
Reduce duty cycle (“On/Off”) of feed indexes.
Increase time permitted for motion.
The servo drive module has built in diagnostics. The current status of the drive is always shown on the 7-segment
LED STATUS display, located on the front of the drive. The normal state of the LED is to actively cycle its edge
segments and an illuminated decimal point that indicates +5 volts. If an error occurs, the LED displays flashing letter
E followed by a two-digit error code, one digit at a time.
Errors can also be viewed on a Personal Computer screen using Ultraware® software package available upon
request.
