Installation Instructions

4WD Oldsmobile Bravada, Including ZR2 & Highrider and Any Models with OEM

Note: Fascia trim may be required on some models.
Models with OEM tow hooks:
1.

Remove OEM tow hooks (two M10 bolts each side).

2.

Remove plastic air duct bolts (two M10 bolts with large diameter washer each side). ZR2 models have skid shield. Remove two (2) bolts

each side at front of frame and loosen bolts at cross-member.

3.

Raise front mounted receiver into position. Reattach air duct or skid shield. Sandwich receiver side bracket between frame and duct or skid

shield.

4.

Reinstall OEM tow hooks.

Models without OEM tow hooks:
1.

Position front mounted receiver on lower front surface of frame rails. Center it side to side on vehicle and place front edge of side brackets

at the end of the flat portion of the frame.

2.

Use receiver as template and drill four (4) 7/16" diameter holes through the bottom surface of frame rails each side.

3.

On each side insert four (4) 7/16" carriage bolts and blocks through front opening of frame rails and through drilled holes - as shown.

4.

Install receiver, conical washers, and hex nuts and tighten.

Tighten all M10 CL9.8 fasteners on air duct with torque wrench to 38 Lb.-Ft (52 N-m).

Tighten all M10 CL9.8 fasteners on tow hooks and skid shield with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft (57 N-m).

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to

prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working

beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5

and SAE J684.

Fastener Kit: K65004

Tighten all 7/16” fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft (68 N-m).
