Equipment Required: Spray lubricant or soapy water

Wrenches: 11/16”

1.

Insert the pull wires (item 4) into the frame rail as shown in Figure. 2. Use pull wires to feed the carriage bolts and spacers into

frame rails through access holes as shown. Leave pull wires attached.

2.

Lower exhaust system at the rubber isolators(2). Spraying a lubricant or soapy water on the metal hanger rod and the rubber

isolator helps removal.

3.

Raise the hitch into position by sliding the passenger side of the hitch over the top of the exhaust pipe, through the exhaust tip cut

out in the fascia. Being careful not to scratch the fascia.

4.

Slide the driver’s side under the vehicle tipping if needed. Feed the pull wires through the slots in the brackets. Note; on driver’s

side to add spacer (item 5) to flange on bracket as shown figure 1.

5.

Push the driver’s side rearward fastener into the frame rail (see Figure 3) leaving the pull wire attached. See Figure 3.

6.

Raise into position, carefully removing the pull wires and attaching the remaining fasteners. Pull the driver’s side rearward

fastener through the frame rail and bracket.

7.

Re-attach the exhaust at the rubber isolators.

8.

Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specification.

Tighten all 7/16-14 GR 5 fasteners with torque wrench to 50 Lb.-Ft. (68 N*M)

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent

entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a

vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and

SAE J684.
