TOOLS NEEDED
Drill (3/32” Drill Bit), Philips Head Screwdriver,
Wire Crimpers, Test-probe
For Vehicles With Separate Turn / Stop Lights
and NO Factory Wiring Harness.
WIRING
Match the color-coded wires from the tail light
converter to the appropriate vehicle wires as
shown. Always use a circuit tester to identify
each of the vehicle lighting circuits.
CAUTION
When using a circuit tester, carefully probe
one wire at a time. Do not probe across two
wires or across wire and vehicle structure.
Damage to electronic components may result.
WIRING COLOR CODE
Green - Right Turn
Red - Stop Lights
Yellow - Left Turn
Brown - Tail Lights
White - Ground (Vehicle Structure)
MOUNTING
Permanently mount the converter unit
in a spot where it will not be damaged.
GROUNDING
Locate a suitable grounding point near the
convertor such as an existing ground stud or
drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using
the eyelet and screw provided. (Do not drill into
vehicle floor or bed.) Clean dirt and rustproofing
from area.
CAUTION
Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling
to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal
injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
TESTING PROCEDURE
With the ground wire connected and all of the
other circuits attached, attach the ground lead
of a circuit tester to the exposed ground terminal
of the 4-flat end. Activate the tow vehicle’s left
turn, right turn, tail and stop lights one at a time.
Probe the three receptacles of the 4-flat end to
confirm proper functions.
If testing with a trailer, make the proper
connections and do the same test as the circuit
tester using the trailer lights. If a function on the
trailer lights does not work properly, disconnect
the trailer lights, turn functions on vehicle off
and recheck function with the unit with a circuit
tester. Then check the trailer for potential
circuit problems.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (7.5 amps)

safety precautions during installation.
