Reinstall the plastic tr

im panels, threshold,

storage covers, floor covering and other
items that may have been removed during
installation, being careful not to pinch or
cut the wires. Reinstall the taillight housing
assemblies, positioning the vehicle wiring
harness between the housing and the
vehicle body. Secure the remainder of the
T-Connector harness under the bumper with
cable ties provided, being careful to avoid
any areas that would cut or pinch the wire.

T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.

-30 Torx® Bit and Driver, Trim Panel

Remover, Phillips Head Screwdriver,
Drill (3/32" Drill Bit)

Open the tailgate and remo

ve the vehicle’s

taillight assemblies by removing the two T30
Torx head bolts on each side. Carefully pry
the housings away from the vehicle, being
careful not to break the alignment tabs.

Disconnect the wire har

ness from both

taillight sockets. Plug the T-Connector end
with the

ellow

wire in-betw

een the mating

plugs on the driver’s side taillight socket
and vehicle wiring harness.

On the dr

iver’s side, route the T-Connector

end with the

green wire and the wire with

the 4-Flat connector down through the
opening between the vehicle bumper and
body

Route the T-Connector end with

green wire to the passenger’

s side and route

the 4-Flat underneath the bumper. Route
T-Connector end with

green wire up through

the opening on the passenger side, being
careful to avoid any hot pipes, heat shields,
the fuel tank or any other points that may
pinch or brake the wire. Repeat step 2 with
T-Connector containing the

green wire

A. Pull a

way the grommets on both driver’s

and passenger sides to access the
interior area of the vehicle.

B. Using a tr

im panel tool, carefully pry the

threshold plate away from the vehicle,
being careful not to damage any clips. In
the threshold plate area, remove the clips
on both the driver’s and passenger’s side
to gain access behind trim panels.

C. Being careful not to damage clips

,

partially remove the lower interior trim
panels on each side of the vehicle. Set
aside all items removed being careful not
to damage parts.

Route the wire inside v

ehicle through

each interior trim panel and route the
T-Connector containing the

green wire

down the threshold plate, up and through
the passenger side trim panel and out
through the grommet hole. Follow Steps
2 and 3 for connections.

E. Push all of the e

xisting vehicle wiring

back into the grommet hole and seat the
grommet back into the hole and tuck the
remainder of wiring in-between the
bumper fascia or under the bumper.

4.

Locate a suitab

le grounding point near the

connector such as an existing ground stud or
drill a 3/32" hole and secure the

white wire

using the eyelet and screw provided.
