TOOLS REQUIRED:

Trim Panel Remover, Drill (3/32” Drill Bit), 1/4”
socket, Philips Head Screwdriver, Test-probe

1.

Open rear door and fold rear seat forward

2.

Partially remove the rear interior trim panels on both
the driver and passenger side of the vehicle. Several
trim panel fasteners will need to be removed to
remove the panels. Set aside all items removed being
careful not to damage parts

3.

Temporarily remove the rear threshold plate

4.

Locate the taillight wiring harness that has a connection
point on the rear of the taillight assembly

5.

Beginning on the driver’s side, separate the vehicle’s
wiring connectors, being careful not to break the
locking tabs. Insert the T-Connector end, with the
yellow wire, between the vehicle wiring connectors
and lock into place. Be sure that connectors are fully
inserted with locking tabs in place.

6.

Route the T-Connector end with green wire to the
passenger ‘s side behind the panels and along the
threshold. Repeat step 5 for T-Connector end with the
green wire.

7.

Locate the grey 1-pin housing taped to the taillight
harness on the Driver side

. Plug the 1-pin housing

from the T-Connector harness into the grey housing.
Be sure that connectors are fully inserted with locking
tabs in place.

8.

Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector.
Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire using the
eyelet and screw provided. Do not drill into any
exposed surfaces.

CAUTION

Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to
avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury.
Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.

9.

Open the hood and locate the vehicle fuse panel on
the Driver’s side

. Open the cover to access the

relays and fuses.

10. Place the supplied 10 amp mini fuse into the trailer

tow slot on the fuse panel. Replace fuse cover

WARNING

All connections must be complete for the T-Connector
to function properly. Test and verify installation with a
test light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset
vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the
key from the ignition.

11. On driver’s side, locate a flat surface in an out of

the way place and mount the T-Connector’s black
convertor box with the double sided tape. Secure
the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the
cable ties provided, to prevent damage or rattling
and being careful to avoid any areas that would cut
or pinch the wire.

12. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold, storage

covers, floor covering and other items that may have
been removed during installation, being careful not to
pinch or cut the wires

NOTE
Store 4-Flat connector in rear cargo area when not
in use.

WARNING

Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT exceed
lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (5.6 amps)
