Basic Troubleshooting

If the LED indicator on the power supply is not illuminated:

t

Check to see that the AC power cord is securely connected to the power

supply and to the AC power outlet.

t

Check that the AC power outlet is supplying power.

If the speakers do not produce sound:

t

Check that the cable from the power supply is connected to the rear

panel, and that the LED indicator on the power supply is illuminated.

t

Check that the volume/power knob on the rear panel is not set to mini-

mum volume or powered off (we recommend at least a 10 o’clock posi-

tion).

t

Check that the volume level of your audio source in not set to minimum

or powered off.

t

Check that the wire from your audio source to your speakers is properly

connected (occasionally the 1/8” cables feel as if they are inserted all

the way, but are not).

If the speakers produce sound from the left speaker but not the right:

t

Check that the speaker wires are correctly connected between the left

and right speaker binding posts.

t

Check that the wire from your audio source to your speakers is properly

connected.

If the sound is distorted:

t

Decrease the volume of the input audio source and increase the volume

of the speakers.

Connecting your system (continued)

Step 2– Connecting the Power Supply
Be sure that the volume/power switch on the rear panel is in the OFF posi-

tion by rotating it counterclockwise until it clicks off.

1 Connect the DIN power cable from the power supply to the rear DIN

power input connector on the speaker. Note: This connector is “keyed”

for proper alignment. Do not use excessive force on the connector.

2 Connect the AC power cable to the other end of the power supply.

3 Connect the AC power cable to a power outlet.

4 Verify that the LED indicator on the power supply is illuminated.

Use only the power supply provided with the speakers.

Step 3– Connecting the Audio Source
Using the appropriate audio cable (either 1⁄8” mini-jack or RCA), connect the

speaker to your audio source (computer, iPod, other MP3 player, etc.).
1⁄8” mini-jack audio cables are provided with your speakers.

Step 4– Enjoying the sound

1 Turn on the rear panel volume/power knob, and set the volume control

to an initial setting of about 3 o’clock.

2 Turn on your audio source, and adjust to your desired listening level.

Two audio sources may be connected into the speakers at the same time.

We recommend using the volume control on each audio source to adjust the

overall volume.

We also recommend using a high-quality surge suppressor and/or AC line

filter on all electronics equipment.
