2.5 Overview of Product/Function
DR 2800
The DR 2800 spectrophotometer is a VIS spectrophotometer with a
wavelength range of 340 to 900 nm. The instrument comes with a
complete set of application programs and multi-language support.
The DR 2800 spectrophotometer contains the following application
modes: Stored Programs (pre-installed HACH and LANGE tests),
Barcode Programs, User Programs, Favorite Programs, Single
Wavelength Mode, Multi-Wavelength Mode and Time Course
Mode.
DR 2800 eco
The DR 2800 eco spectrophotometer is a VIS spectrophotometer
with a wavelength range of 340 to 900 nm. The instrument comes
with a list of Barcode Programs and multi-language support, see
Appendix B Barcode Programs on DR 2800 eco on page 127 .
DR 2800/DR 2800 eco
The DR 2800/DR 2800 eco spectrophotometer provides digital
readouts in direct concentration units, absorbance, or percent
transmittance.
When a user-generated or programmed method is selected, the
on-screen menus and prompts direct the user through the test
(DR 2800 only).
This menu system also can be used to generate reports, statistical
evaluations of generated calibration curves, and to report
instrument diagnostic checks.
2.6 Disposal in accordance with EU directive 2002/96/EC
How to prepare an electrical instrument for disposal:
• remove any cuvettes that are still in the instrument
• remove any battery that is still present in the instrument
In conformity with local and national legal regulations (EU directive 2002/96/EC), the
manufacturer takes responsibility for the disposal of old instruments free of charge.
Note: From 13 August 2005, disposal through public disposal systems will no longer be
possible. Please approach your manufacturer or a sales representative contact about
your disposal concerns.
