Lower spare tire. See owners manual

Pull wire loom retainer away from inside of right frame rail. See picture. Retainer will not be re-inserted.

3.

Lift hitch into place by placing the right mounting bracket between wire loom previously pulled away and the frame. Be aware this

is above the fuel fill lines Lift left mounting bracket up into place making sure to route wire cable thru large notch in side

bracket between mounting holes.

Loosely install fasteners as shown.

5.

Pull hitch rearward and up so hitch receiver is level or above. Tighten fasteners.

6.

Raise spare tire back into place. Spare tire may rub against the right mounting of hitch when lifting. Check to see that the spare

tire is secure.

Tighten all M12 x 1.75 class 10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 n*m)

Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to

prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working

beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.

and SAE J684.
