11. Open vehicle hood, and locate the fuse box on the
driver side near the front of the vehicle. Unlatch the
fuse door to access the fuse area. Locate position
labeled 20A Trailer. Insert the 15 amp fuse included
with the T-Connector package in this position and
latch the fuse box.
WARNING
All connections must be complete for the T-Connector
to function properly. Test and verify installation with a
test light or trailer once installed. For initial test, reset
vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the
key from the ignition.
12. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness
with the cable ties provided, to prevent damage or
rattling and being careful to avoid any areas that
would pinch, cut or melt the wire.
13. Reinstall the plastic trim panels, threshold,
storage covers, floor covering and other items
removed during installation, being careful not to
pinch or cut the wires.
WARNING
Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT exceed
lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 2 per side (4.2 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (7.5 amps)

TOOLS NEEDED:
Trim Panel Remover, 10mm Socket &
Ratchet or 10mm Wrench, Drill (3/32” Drill Bit),
Flat Screwdriver, Test-probe
1. Open the rear tailgate to access the bolts that hold
the taillights in place d. Remove the taillights on
both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle.
Remove threshold, trunk floor panels and trays.
Set aside all items removed being careful not to
damage parts e.
2. Being careful not to damage clips, partially remove
the lower interior trim panels on driver’s side of the
vehicle only f.
3. On the driver’s side, attach the end of the
T-Connector containing the yellow and the brown
wires. Ensure that the connectors are fully inserted
with locking tabs in place.
4. Route the harness containing the green wire and the
4-Flat down the opening behind the taillight on the
driver’s side. Route the 4-Flat harness to the center
of the vehicle. Route harness containing the green
wire underneath the vehicle up through the opening
behind the passenger’s side taillight.
5. On driver’s side, locate the grommet in between
taillight pocket and trunk. Carefully slit the grommet
as shown g.
6. Route the T-Connector’s Grey 12-pin and 1-pin
connectors throught the sliced grommet into the
vehicles cargo area.
7. From inside the vehicle, locate the T-Connector’s
Grey 12-Pin connector and insert it into the
mating connector located on the black box-module.
Check to see that the mating surfaces of the wiring
connectors match.
WARNING
All connector surfaces should be clean and free
of dirt. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs
and be sure that connectors are fully inserted with
locking tabs in place.
8. Locate a flat surface in an out of the way place
and mount the T-Connector’s black box-module,
to prevent damage or rattling.
WARNING
The black box-module is intended to be mounted
ONLY in the INTERIOR of the vehicle. Mounting on
the exterior or areas exposed to the elements or
moisture could cause serious damage to the vehicle
and module.
9. Locate the 1-pin housing taped to the taillight harness
on the Driver side h. Plug the 1-pin housing from
the T-Connector harness into the housing.
10. Locate a suitable grounding point near the connector
inside the vehicle. Clean dirt and rustproofing from
the area. Drill a 3/32” hole and secure the white wire
using the eyelet and screw provided. (Do not drill into
vehicle floor or bed.)
CAUTION
Verify what is behind any surface prior to drilling to
avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury.
Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
