PARTS LIST:

1 Driver Side Taillight Guard
1 Passenger Side Taillight Guard
4 4-0.7 x 40mm Philips Screws
4 4mm Rubber Inserts
4 4mm ID x 15mm OD x 1.5mm Flat Washers
4 20mm x 100mm Adhesive Foam Pads

PROCEDURE:

1.

REMOVE CONTENTS FROM BOX. VERIFY ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT. READ
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION.

2.

Open the rear door and using a flat screw driver remove the plastic clips holding the driver side
taillight housing (Figure 1). NOTE: You will not be re-installing these clips back.

3.

Grasp the taillight housing with one hand and pull gently. NOTE: Be sure to pull straight back to
avoid possible damage. This is the same procedure required to change a burn out taillight in the
assembly. For more info see owner’s manual on replacing burn taillight bulbs.

4.

Locate the driver side Taillight Guard and place (1 ea) Adhesive Foam Pads on each on the inner
side on the Mounting Brackets (Figure 2).

5.

Insert (1 ea) Rubber Insert into each factory hole where you removed the plastic clips (Figure 3).

6.

Fit Taillight Guard over the taillight housing. The Side Bracket should hook to the edge of the
taillight housing. NOTE: If they don’t fit properly, they can be adjusted to fit properly using a pair of
pliers. If you’re doing an adjustment, make sure to cover the mounting tabs on the Taillight Guard
to protect the finish.

7.

Return the assembly back to the vehicle making sure that the Taillight Guard is aligned and
centered properly on the taillight housing.

8.

Secure the Taillight Guard assembly to the previously inserted rubber inserts using (2) 4mm x
40mm Phillips Screws and (2) 4mm Flat Washers (Figure 4). Hand tighten at this time.

9.

Center and align the Taillight Guard; carefully close the rear door slowly to make sure the
Mounting Brackets do not interfere with the rear door. If Mounting Brackets clear the rear door,
tighten all hardware at this time. IMPORTANT! Do not over tighten or a pull out may occur.

10.

NOTE: In order to fully tighten the Phillips Screws, you will need to push softly on the Taillight
Guard as you tighten the screws (Figure 5).

11.

Repeat steps 2-10 to install the passenger side.

12. Do periodic inspections to the installation to make sure that all hardware is secure and tight.

To protect your investment, wax this product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a
protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could
damage the finish.
