4. Attach the 30 inch long 6 AGW wire to the vehicle frame. When making the ground connection,
be sure to scrape off any dirt or paint form the bolt or frame that would prevent a good electrical
connection.

5. Connect both Quickconnect housings.

6. Attach the switch to the winch and you are ready for winching.

7. When winching is completed, just disconnect the Quickconnect housings.

QUICKCONNECT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Strip 9/16 inch of casing from all leads going into Quickconnect assembly. Check for proper fit.
(See Figure 1.)

2. Crimp and/or solder contact to cable. (If soldering see recommended technique below).

3. Observing proper polarity, (+ or -), place contact in housing with notched side of tongue next to
spring. (See Figure 2.)

4. Push cable and contacat into housing until it snaps over end of spring. Tug slightly to ensure that
contact is locked into place. If it should become necesssary to remove the contact from the housing,
depress the end of the leaf spring in the contact opening and tug on the wire.

RECOMMENDED SOLDERING TECHNIQUE

Use rosin flux solder only. Wrap cable strands. Melt solder into well, heat and insert stripped cable.
Continue heating well until solder flows into wire, being careful not to overflow onto contact sur-
faces. DO NOT solder dip contacts.
