First make sure that you remove any object from the working
surface (very important!). Then insert a slide in the slide drawer.
The camera automatically recognizes the slide and focuses on
the slide.

In case the slide is out of focus:
- Make sure that the slide is firmly in place
- Make sure that the ZOOM is not in the maximum tele
position (=smallest picture). Use the ZOOM-keys (#10).

The VZ-7D and VZ-5F have an optical 18 x zoom. Both units can pick up objects as large
as an open book and as small as a coin on the working surface to fill the screen.

In addition the VZ-7D has a digital 4 times zoom extension, which can be swiched on if
required (with DIP-Switch no.10 - see last page of this manual). The digital zoom
theoretically increases the complete zoom range to a 72 times zoom. Up to approx. 30
times enlargement the picture quality is still good.

Automatic white balance adjustment is described on page 5. For some applications you
may require a manual white balance setting. This can be done by pressing the LIGHT-key
(#6) for 3 seconds. When the unit is switched off and on again it is set back to automatic
white balance.
(Other white balance settings for specialists see last page - for experienced users only)

The serial port (#16) can be used to control the Visualizer
through an external device, like a remote control system for a
whole conferencing room.
It can also be used to control the Visualizer through a computer.
A special Windows-software for PC is available from WolfVision.
