1. Place Uplights in required position.

2. Connect each Uplight together starting with the one farthest from

the power supply. Make sure that the power supply power cord(s)

is / are out of harm’s way

3. Once all the Uplight’s are connected to each other, plug the

host light into the power supply and switch the supply ON.

LIGHTING TUBE REPLACEMENT

Ensure that only replacement lighting tubes of the correct type are used.

Uplight v2 is supplied with either an 18W (2ft) or a 36W (4ft) Philips 865 Colour Rendition

‘Cool Daylight’ T8 triphosphor tube.

1. Switch OFF Uplight v2 at the mains power supply and disconnect. Allow

adequate time for cooling.

2. Unscrew the lens cap and remove the lamp holder cover cap

from the lighting tube assembly by pulling it away gently in a vertical direction.

3. Lift the lighting tube out of the lighting tube assembly.

4. Place the new lighting tube into the lighting tube assembly

making sure that the two end-pins are correctly inserted

into the lower anti-shock tube buffer. DO NOT FORCE – CORRECT

INSERTION SHOULD BE STRAIGHTFORWARD.

5. Replace the electrical fitting, again making sure that the

end-pins are inserted securely into the upper anti-shock tube buffer.

6. Replace the lens cap ensuring a correct seal to prevent the ingress of water

or dust. Repeat this procedure if the lens cap becomes cross-threaded.

A daily inspection is recommended to check for any physical damage or abrasions to power

cord. Replace tubes and guards when necessary. Also check that UPLIGHT v2 is positioned

to maintain safe site conditions.

CLEANING

We recommend that you use only a damp cloth to clean your Uplight v2. Please note that

some chemicals used in cleaning agents may damage the diffuser and in no circumstances

should you use any such products.

SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS

Only suitably qualified personnel should service the unit. If you have a problem with your unit

please return it to the outlet from where you purchased it, ensuring that you have full details

of your product as described on the product rating plate.

Should it be necessary for repairs to be undertaken, it is important to provide the suitably

qualified repairer with the complete unit.

Should you require service under the terms of our guarantee you will need to present

proof of purchase.
