APPLICATIONS OF USE
SELF-RIGHTING BASE
When used in conjunction with a self-righting base (optional extra) the Uplight v2 has
unique self-righting properties from the upright position of up to 45º on the 4’ – 36W model
and up to 60º on the 2’ – 18W model.
To fit the Uplight v2 to the self righting base locate the Uplight v2 within the base and align
the 4 locking tabs, once aligned turn the Uplight v2 through 90º to secure to base.
DO NOT relocate the Uplight v2 whilst attached to the self-righting base. Do not remove the
Uplight v2 from the base by twisting or pulling on the diffuser or end cap. Always use the use
the base section of the Uplight v2.
Please Note: If the Uplight v2 is stored, transported or rotated the sand may need to be
redistributed as follows:
Ensure the Uplight v2 is removed from the self-righting base.
Grip the two base handles and lift off the ground.
Oscillate the base vigorously in a clockwise and anti clockwise motion, until the sand feels
evenly distributed.
Reposition the base, insert the Uplight v2 and continue to use.
Leaning – for additional versatility it is now possible to lean the Uplight v2 against a vertical
surface. Ensure the Uplight v2 is positioned on its anti-slip rubber base.
Lying Down – If the Uplight v2 is to be laid horizontally on the ground ensure the unit sits on all
four stabilising feet. Do not lay the unit across walkways or in a position that may create a
possible trip hazard.
Suspended – The unit can be suspended using the eyelets attached to the correct anchorage
points on the Uplight v2. Ensure the Uplight is secure. Nothing else is to be suspended from
the unit. Consider trailing cables when suspending the unit and ensure these cables do not
present a risk.
LINKING DIRECTIONS
Uplight v2 is fitted with a power take-off socket, which should ONLY BE USED to link
additional Uplight’s. When linking a series of Uplight’s the maximum quantity that can be
connected together in any chain is:
110V UPLIGHT – 46 units of the 4ft 36W model or 85 units for the 2ft 18W model from a
2.5kVA generator (or similar rated power source) with 5M spacing between each unit.
IMPORTANT: You must not use mixed Uplight variants, i.e. 2ft Uplight’s with 4ft Uplight’s, in
the same link.
