VSS2 Video Sync Sensor

Product Information

The AMX VSS2 Video Sync Sensor (Figure 1) is equipped with two independent channels to

detect video sync signals. The channels generate a logic-level output when a horizontal sync signal

is detected.

You can use the VSS2 for systems that require true power status for a VCR, tuner, or satellite

receiver. The VSS2 monitors the video output of each source and sends a logic signal to a AMX

input port in the AXCESS Central Controller. You can also use the logic signal output to control

AMX closure-driven peripherals such as a PC1 Power Controller. Since most video source

equipment generates blue screen video output when they are on, the VSS2 can sense true on and off

status.
