VENT DUCT INSTALLATION
(Optional)

NOTE: The vent duct is sold separately and not

included with this kit. The vent duct is
necessary only if outside-air ventilation is
required instead of attic-air ventilation.

1. Assemble the vent duct as described in Section I,

Vent Duct Assembly.

2. Insert the vent duct between the column and

intermediate post and place the duct so that the vent
duct notches fit on the corner tin ridges as shown in
Figure 17.

3. Screw the vent duct side flanges to the columns with

#8 x ½” pan-head screws. Refer to Figure 18.

4. Cut the bird wire to the appropriate size to fit over

the top, bottom, and side duct flanges. Secure the
bird wire to the column with two #8 x ½” pan-head
screws. Pull the wire tight and attach opposite side
with two #8 x ½” pan-head screws.
