VENT HOOD ASSEMBLY &
INSTALLATION (Optional)

The vent hood has three parts. The top is preformed
and no additional bending is required. The two side
parts have perforated areas which must be bent 90
degrees to form the side flange.

NOTE: The vent hood is sold separately and not

included with this kit.

1. Form the two end parts by hand bending the

perforated area 90 degrees to form the flanges as
shown in Figure 19.

NOTE: Ensure one side part is bent in one direction and

the other side part is bent in the opposite
direction.

2. Insert the end tabs through the cover slots and bend

the tabs inward.

3. Place the vent hood over the bird wire and vent duct

flanges and secure the vent hood flanges to the
column, intermediate post, and vent duct flanges
with #8 x ½” pan-head screws. Refer to Figure 20.
