6. Remove

the

four nuts
from the
motor
housing
and remove
the old
motor. See
Figure 2.




7. Remove

the

bolts holding the
four Fan Bracket
Legs to the Fan
Shroud. See
Figure 3.


8. If the fan

uses a Post
Mount,
remove the
Post Mount
from the
fan.


9. Move

the

four fan brackets two
holes towards the front
of the fan shroud
upwards as in Figure 4.


10. Re-install one bolt in

the bottom hole in each
bracket leg for
temporary support.
See Figure 4.




11. Drill two 9/32" holes

through the Shroud
corresponding to the
two remaining holes in
each Fan Bracket Leg.
See Figure 5.








12. Using a black

marker hold
the Fan
Bracket Leg
in place and
mark the Fan
Hanging
Bracket for
the location of
the two new
holes. See
Figure 6.


a. Remove the Hanging Bracket and drill the two

marked holes in each Hanging Bracket using a 3/8"
drill and 9/32" drill bit. See Figure 7.













14. Replace the four Hanging Brackets and place the

two remaining bolts and nuts in each Fan Bracket
Leg.


15. Insert the new motor and replace the four nuts

holding the motor in place. See Figure 2.


16. Re-install the fan blade. See Figure 1.

17. If the fan uses a Post Mount, drill a new hole in the

shroud using a 2 ¼ " Hole Saw. Re-install the Post
Mount using the hardware removed in Step 7.


18. Connect the power cable to the motor.

19. Replace the front and rear Wire Guards. NOTE: The

rear guard should not be touching the new fan
motor.


20. Reinstall the fan in its original operating position.

21. Connect electrical power and check the fan for

proper operation.


22. Motor installation complete.
