FSRSI Remote System Indicator

Installation Sheet

Description

The FSRSI is a remote system indicator for F-series fire alarm
control panels. The FSRSI provides five LEDs and a buzzer to
indicate AC power status, alarm events, supervisory events,
trouble events, and ground fault events. The FSRSI also
provides a local silence button to turn the buzzer off without
affecting the LED indicators.

FSRSI remote system indicators include a cover plate for
installation in a standard, single-gang electrical box. You can
also install the FSRSI with one or two remote zone indicators
in an approved 2-, 3-, or 4-gang electrical box. Cover plates for
2-, 3-, or 4-gang electrical boxes (model numbers FSAT2,
FSAT3, or FSAT4) are ordered separately.

FSRSI remote system indicators are configured using the
jumper described in the table below.

Note:

Only one FSRSI is allowed per peripheral group.

Installation

Install the FSRSI according to the instructions provided below.

Caution:

Make sure all power is disconnected from the panel

before installing. Observe static-sensitive handling practices.

To install the FSRSI:

1. Configure the jumpers as described in Table 1.

2. Verify that all field wiring is free of opens, shorts, and

ground faults.

3. Wire the FSRSI as shown Figure 1.

4. Mount the FSRSI in the electrical box using the two plain

machine screws. Figure 2.

Note:

If you are surface mounting the FSRSI, you must install

washers (provided) between it and the surface mount box.

5. Attach the faceplate to the FSRSI. Use the two white

machine screws provided with the faceplate.

Note:

FSRSI remote system indicators will not operate

properly until detected by the control panel. For more
information, see the technical reference manual listed inside
the control panel door.
