Cleaning the Feeder
If a scanned image has unexpected specks, clean the feeder.

Turn off the machine and disconnect all cables from the machine.

Remove any documents from the feeder.

Lift the operation panel, clean the rollers with a well wrung out cloth
dampened with water, and then wipe them with a soft and dry cloth.
When cleaning the machine, do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or
similar materials for cleaning. They can generate static electricity.

Lower and close the operation panel until it is locked.

Push down the operation
panel until it is locked.

Reconnect all cables, and then turn on the power.
