A) On-off switch and

regulation of mist output

Turning the righthand rotary switch clockwise switches

the appliance on and at the same time regulates the mist

output from low to high.

B) Hygrostat (setting the humidity level)

The desired humidity level can be set by turning the left

hand rotary switch clockwise. A relative humidity of bet

ween 40% and 60% is recommended. The accuracy of the

measurement is +/ 5%. As soon as the humidity exceeds

the desired setting the appliance switches off. The appli

ance does not switch off if the rotary switch is turned all the

way to the right as far as the arrow symbol. This activates

the continuous operation function.

C) Empty indicator

As soon as the tank runs out of water, the red empty indica

tor lamp turns on and an alarm is sounded. Please read the

chapter “Filling with water” for more information.

(16) keeps the water free of harmful

bacteria. The antimicrobial action of silver is used. The

Ionic Silver Stick releases silver ions in the water over

a long period (approx. one year). It‘s selfregulating and

maintenancefree. Look at picture 16 for the position of the

ISS in the base part of the unit. Do not touch the water in

the base during operation! Switch off the unit first. Contact

your local retailer or check our website www.airoswiss.

Replacement of the demineralization

cartridge

Always unplug the unit before removing the

water tank. Do not touch the water in the base

during operation!

The water tank is equipped with a demineralization cartridge.

This cartridge has to be replaced every 2 – 3 months. If

the water is very hard, it may be necessary to replace the

cartridge earlier. White dust around the device is a sure sign

that the cartridge needs replacing. Please note white dust

is not harmful. If white residue still forms around the device

after a new cartridge has been inserted, please make sure

that the water you are using is untreated. If the water flows

through a decalcification system (natrium added to remove

calcium) in the building before it is used in the humidifier, salt

can precipitate as white dust around the device.

Option A: replace the resin

• Remove the cover (Caution: the mist outlet is loose!).

Remove the water tank from the base and unscrew the

water tank cap (17).

• The demineralization cartridge is attached to the inside

of the tank cap. Unscrew the cartridge from the cap by

turning it counterclockwise (18). Important: do NOT

dispose of the water tank cap!

• Open the cartridge (19).

• Throw the content into the waste (Attention! Disposed

resin can make the floor slippery!) (20).

• Pour the resin into the cartridge (22). (Attention! Make

sure that no granules get in the center of the cartridge.

It can clog the unit).

• Close the cartridge (24).

• Screw the cartridge on the water tank cap (25).

• Screw the cartridge on the bottom side of the water

tank, put the tank on the base tray (26).

• Soak the new granules for 24h before use! The resin

must soak up water to reach full performance!
