Operations that must be completed in advance:

The storage systems that will be managed must be registered.
To register a user:
1.
Log in to P9000 Command View AE Suite.
2.
From the Administration tab, register a user in Users and Permissions.
Register the account the server administrators will use to log in to Plug-in for Virtualization Server
Provisioning.
To enable server administrators with a registered account to log in to Plug-in for Virtualization Server
Provisioning, you must set access permissions for the storage resources.

Setting access control
The storage administrator controls the P9000 Command View AE Suite storage resources that the
server administrator can access from Plug-in for Virtualization Server Provisioning.

Conditions:

The user must have the Admin role for all Device Manager resources and the Admin permission
for user management.
Operations that must be completed in advance:
•
The user (server administrator) for which access control is to be set must be registered.
To set access control:
1.
Log in to P9000 Command View AE Suite.
2.
From the Administration tab, create a resource group in Resource Groups.
Group resources, such as parity groups, LDEV IDs, or storage ports, together according to the
storage resources the server administrators can use from Plug-in for Virtualization Server
Provisioning.
3.
From the Administration tab, create user groups in User Groups.
Place the server administrator accounts into groups.
4.
Assign a resource group and a role to the user group you created.
Assign storage resources (a resource group) and the Device Manage Modify role to the server
administrators (user) group.
