Removing a System From a Clone Group

Removing a Master From a Clone Group

To remove a master target from a clone group:

1. Remove the <MASTER> text from its target description in the Planner Interface.

2. Do one of three things:

Make this target a master for the group again. (This is relevant if you removed
the master from the group only to create a normal software configuration for it.)

Remove all the clones from the group. (This effectively dissolves the group.)

Define a new master for the group. (You must then also update the master
name in the target description text for every clone in the group.)

Removing a Clone From a Clone Group

To remove a clone target from a clone group:

1. Remove the <CLONE \master-sysname> text from the target description in the

Planner Interface.

2. Copy the configuration from the master to the former clone. This ensures an

accurate account of the software actually running on the system when you create a
new software configuration.
