l

Password—Specify the password associated with the user you have
entered.

l

Install Directory—By default, the installation directory is c:\Program
Files\StorageWorks\Storage Mirroring. If necessary, modify where the
software will be installed or where it is currently installed if you will be
performing an upgrade or uninstallation.

l

Maximum system memory for queue—By default, 512 MB of memory will
be allocated for memory-based queuing. If desired, modify this value.

l

Disk queue folder—Specify where to maintain disk-based queues. For best
results and reliability, you should select a dedicated, non-boot volume.

l

Maximum disk space for queue—By default, an unlimited amount of disk
space will be allocated for disk-based queuing. If desired, modify the amount
of disk space that will be used for disk-based queuing.

l

Minimum free space—By default, 50 MB of free space will be maintained in
the Disk queue folder. If desired, modify the amount of disk space that will
always remain free. The Minimum free space should be less than the amount
of physical disk space minus the Maximum disk space for queue.

Note: The Maximum disk space for queue and Minimum free space

settings work in conjunction with each other. For example, assume
your queues are stored on a 10 GB disk with the Maximum disk
space for queue
set to 10 GB and the Minimum free space set to
500 MB. If another program uses 5 GB, Storage Mirroring products will
only be able to use 4.5 GB so that 500 MB remains free.
