1. Start the installer:
# ./install.sh
The following message is displayed:
Welcome to the HP Insight Foundation suite for Integrity with Linux version *.**.
For the latest information and downloads go to http://www.hp.com/go/integritylinuxessentials.
Press <enter> to continue the installation of the current version of the HP Support Pack.
2. You are prompted to make additional selections based on the software update option you
selected in the previous step.
The installer analyzes your system and prepares it for installation of the products provided
with the HP Support Pack.
NOTE: If the installer detects missing RPMs that are necessary to the installation, messages
are displayed indicating which RPMs you must install before proceeding. For example,
messages similar to the following may appear:
HP Management Base for Integrity and Proliant Servers
Missing Denpendeies: ['OpenIPMI']
This cause following packages in IFIL depends on below cannot be installed:
HP Insight Manager Agents Webapp via HP SMH.
HP Command Line Array Configuration Utility
HP Insight Management WBEM Webapp via HP SMH
nPartition Commands
HP Insight Manager Agents (SNMP) for HP Integrity servers
HP Insight Management WBEM Providers
In this case, you would need to install the required RPMs for HP-IMA and HP SMH before
these products can be installed.
NOTE: If the installer detects missing JAVA or JAVA not configured, messages are displayed
indicating which RPMS you can not install. For example, messages similar to the following
may appear:
The following packages are included, but cannot be installed:
The nPartition Management GUI for HP Integrity servers.
Missing Denpendeies: ['JAVA_HOME']
In this case, you would need to install JAVA and configure JAVA for hpsmh-tomcat and
hp.com-parmgr.
A menu of available products and options that can be installed is displayed. The contents
of this menu depend upon the version of the HP Support Pack that you are installing or the
Linux distribution installed on your system. A menu similar to one of the following is
displayed:
Menu for RHEL4:
1. Install HP Utilization WBEM Provider
2. Install HP Management Base for Integrity and
Proliant Servers
3. Install HP System Management Homepage
4. Install MPT Fusion SAS Integrated RAID
configuration utility
5. Install The Open64 Compiler Suite v4.2.1
6. Install HP Command Line Array Configuration
Utility
7. Install HPVM Guest Kit for Linux
8. Install HP Insight Manager Agents (SNMP) for
HP Integrity servers
9. Install HP Insight Manager Agents Webapp via
HP SMH.
