set fc-connection
The -set fc-connection command modifies an existing FC connection to a server profile.
Syntax
-set fc-connection –profilename <profileName>
-portnumber <Port>
[-fabric <FabricName>]
[-speed <Auto|1Gb|2Gb|4Gb|8Gb|Disabled>]
[–bootpriority <priority>]
[–bootport <portName>]
[–bootlun <LUN>]
Parameters

Optional Required Description Parameter
x Specifies the name of the
server profile that contains
the connection to modify. -profilename
x Specifies the port number of
the connection being
modified. -portnumber
x Specifies the name of an
existing fabric to associate -fabric
with the connection. If the
fabric name is not specified,
the connection will be
marked as unassigned
but associated with a
specific bay.
x Specifies the port speed of
the connection port. Valid -speed
values include auto, 1Gb,
2Gb
, 4Gb, 8Gb, and
disabled . The default port
speed is auto.
NOTE: For HP 4Gb VC-FC
Modules or HP Virtual
Connect 4Gb FC Modules,
supported speed values
include: auto, 1Gb, 2Gb,
4Gb
, and disabled. If it is
set to 8Gb, VC
auto-negotiates the speed.
x Controls whether the FC
HBA port is enabled for -bootpriority
SAN boot and affects the
BIOS boot order. Valid
values include the following:
•
usebios
•
primary
•
secondary
•
disabled
Only one boot parameter is
allowed per FC connection.
