Command

Recovery Manager for Oracle User’s Guide

OPTIONS

The following options are supported:

-s <oracle_sid>

- The instance SID of the primary database. For an RAC database, any

instance SID can be specified.

-p <primary_host>

- The corresponding host name of the primary host where the

specified Oracle database instance is running. The value of the primary host name must

match the output of the

hostname

command.

-t <timestamp>

- The timestamp of a virtual copy to be unmounted. The virtual copy

name can be obtained using the

vcdba_display

command.

-f

- Forcibly unmounts a database virtual copy. Without this option, the

vcdba_umount

command does not allow a virtual copy to be unmounted if it is being used. Using this

option can corrupt the corresponding read-write virtual copy. However, the read-only

virtual copy remains intact. This option is useful in cases where the virtual copy is partially

mounted due to mounting failure.

-v

- Runs the command in verbose mode to display useful messages.
